The Galaxy Note 10 Plus is Samsung’s biggest, boldest Galaxy Note yet. It has a slimmer design, more screen than ever before, and an S Pen that has learned some new tricks. Almost all of its new features are in the name of refinement, but that refinement is dictated by design and mass-market appeal, not necessarily by functionality.
We’re still waiting for an official announcement from NVIDIA, but the NVIDIA Shield TV Pro is up for pre-order from Amazon for $200 with an estimated ship date of October 28th. Like previous versions, the new model supports 4K HDR video playback and it can run some Shield-exclusive video games. There’s also support for streaming games over the internet using NVIDIA’s GeForce Now service. What’s new is a new Tegra X1+ processor that NVIDIA says brings 25-percent faster performance, a new remote control with a weird triangular-shaped design and far more buttons than its predecessor and support for Bluetooth 5.0.
The Red Magic 3S is a smartphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor, a 5,000 mAh battery, a least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.0 storage, a 48MP camera, a metal chassis, and a 6.65 inch, 2340 x 1080 pixel AMOLED display with a 90Hz screen refresh rate. In other words, if you can get past the gaming aesthetic in this phone’s design (including an angular rear cover with an RGB light strip down the middle), it’s just a phone with flagship-class specs at a surprisingly low price. The starting price gets you a model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, but you can also pick up a 12GB/256GB model for $599.
Microsoft does provide one other clue as to what to expect from upcoming hardware: all of the initial Windows 10X devices will be “powered by Intel,” which rules out ARM or AMD processors… at least in the short term. Honestly, Microsoft is being a little vague about that at the moment. On the one hand, the company says it’ll feel familiar to anyone who’s used Windows 10 thanks to a similar user interface. But since it takes more power to drive two screen than one, the company wanted to decrease the battery drain of apps.
